Bagpipes: Tradition and Innovation

A 40 minute video of a lecture and recital that I presented at the 2014 Royal Greenwich International Early Music Festival, London to demonstrate contrasting approaches to my instrument making.

Barnaby Brown plays eighteenth-century Highland music on my faithful reproductions of Highland pipes and smallpipes. Callum Armstrong plays his own music on a specially modified set of my Scottish smallpipe and is exploring entirely new ways to play them.
