Bagpipe Bags- Form and Function

 A substantial article I wrote for the Spring 2007 issue of Chanter, the journal of The Bagpipe Society. The bag is central and basic to a bagpipe- it is the unique feature which makes a bagpipe a bagpipe. Yet there does not appear to be much written about the topic.

In Feb 2008 I received a fascinating questionnaire about my pipes and approaches to pipemaking which I answered in great detail and later edited for a substantial article in the spring 2010 issue of Chanter, the journal of the Bagpipe Society .
